Reggie came back out briefly to talk about several Nintendo gaming tournaments taking place at E3, including tournaments for Splatoon 2, Pokkén Tournament, and Arms. It did, however, produce a 25-minute video to kick off the show that detailed upcoming games for its Switch hybrid console.

Speaking of 2018 games, Nintendo is also working on a new Yoshi sidescroller along the lines of Yoshi's Woolly World (but without all the wool this time). It'll be released around the same time as Super Mario Odyssey, and will have appropriate Mario Hat customization items to find.

Those eager to experience what the new Mario has to offer certainly won't have to wait long, either. The hat can also be used to possess enemies, control dinosaurs, turn Mario into a rocket, and much more.

OnlySP is dedicated to providing all the latest news on Super Mario Odyssey and all things single-player. Heck, Odyssey will even have you morph into a towering T-Rex and a Mario Bullet Bill, while there's also a welcome nugget of nostalgia in the form of a side-scrolling level that stirs up memories of Mario games gone by. Players can collect coins and defeat enemies from a new perspective. How will the game look, though? Metroid Prime 4 is now in development for the Switch. A new core Pokemon game and a fourth entry in the Metroid Prime sci-fi shooter series were also unveiled, but no details - including release dates - were provided, meaning those games likely won't arrive until 2018 or later.

GOAL! Cars, explosions, and fun, coming to the Switch!

A traditional Kirby platformer is coming to the Switch next year!

Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 on Switch will support split Joy-Con multiplayer and of course can be enjoyed either in your hands in portable mode, or on the big screen in TV mode.

These three new amiibo are the second set of new amiibo revealed today, following on from four announced earlier today for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which included the four champions from the game.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated with more information when it becomes available.
