Lakers' Las Vegas Summer League schedule officially released

The Kings will begin summer league play July 7 against the Phoenix at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, the National Basketball Association announced Thursday.

Get ready for a new level to the Celtics-Lakers rivalry - this time in summer league. The Kings take on the Memphis Grizzlies July 9 and the Los Angeles Lakers July 10 before tournament play begins July 12 to determine the summer league champion.

This will be a good chance for fans to see both rookies that the Bulls select in the 2017 NBA Draft with the 16th and 38th overall picks (if they keep both of them on draft night). Pacific Time at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV.

The Orlando schedule: July 1, NY at 2 p.m; July 3, Orlando at 2 p.m.; July 4, IN at 2 p.m., July 5, Oklahoma City at noon; July 6, playoff game, time TBD. And the Celtics and Lakers will be featured prominently in their first game in Vegas during a game televised on ESPN.

6 p.m. ET vs. Minnesota also owns the No. 7 pick in the June 22 NBA Draft.

After the Friday and Saturday games, the Lakers will have Sunday off with a late 7:30 p.m.
