Rita Ora volunteers to help victims of Grenfell Tower fire

A Twitter fan account for the singer tweeted the news in the early hours of Thursday (15.06.17) morning, and claimed the star was "hugging everyone" and doing her best to "comfort them".

"Adele is at now at Grenfell Tower asking if anyone needs help that was affected by the fire", a fan account Tweeted.

70 people are receiving hospital treatment after being caught up in the blaze, which swept the building after a fridge on the fourth floor caught fire, with 18 people in a critical condition. West Londoner Rita Ora was also spotted sorting through clothing bags for families affected by the disaster, whilst TOWIE star Tommy Mallett also visited the site to bring numerous boxes of clothes for people who had lost everything in the fire.

Alongside an image of the burning tower with details on how to help the victims, Rita wrote: "This is my neighbourhood I can't believe this is happening". My heart is beating so fast.

The singer was seen carrying water and supplies around the site in White City, west London, yesterday, working with a group of friends late into the night to help victims of the tragedy.

The 26-year-old had played in the 24-storey Grenfell Tower as a child and spoke on social media on Wednesday about her devastation watching the fire.

AdeleUnion wrote: "Adele was going around and hugging everyone she could to comfort them". "I want to do all I can to help". "I used to play in that block - I want to do all I can do to help".
