We covered all of iOS 11's most exciting new features in an earlier post, but there's also some bad news surrounding Apple's next-generation mobile platform.

Apple chief executive Tim Cook offered a sneak peek into the latest software release at the World Developers Conference being held in California, US. Furthermore, Files will also support drag and drop, which could come in handy for quickly copying e-mail attachments into a specific folder.

The new Settings page also provides you with a list of apps installed on your device, sorted by size.

When it comes time to update to iOS 11, you'll get a notification on your device letting you know your download is ready.

On Monday, Apple officially announced the iOS 11 alongside a plethora of other software and hardware products at the WWDC event.

In iOS 10 and previous versions, users had to delete the app and reinstall it without the relevant data and documents to free up some storage space.

By introducing the iOS 11 update that brings a lot of new features for iPhone and iPad, Apple has buried 32-bit apps. This feature is visible when you tap on an app inside the iPhone Storage. The app compatibility section will appear. iOS 11 is only compatible with devices which incorporated the A7 chip and higher.

IOS 11 is now available as a beta for developers, with a public beta due out at the end of the month, and a general release expected in the Autumn.

Siri will get a "more human voice" in iOS 11, and Maps will have new cities, better navigation, speed limits, and lane guidance. It will power Apple's upcoming smartphone iPhone 8. Britain's Automobile Association president Edmund King also lauded Apple for coming up with the "Do Not Disturb While Driving" feature. This means when you send a snap to your friend who could be on iOS 11 Beta version, can pull up screen capture shortcut quickly and record the snap.

So beyond turning off your cellphone or leaving it at home, Apple has a new solution aimed at keeping drivers' eyes off the screen and on the road.
