The commercial value of the Galaxy Note branding seems to have been retained, despite the disastrous exploding Galaxy Note 7. Recent reports now reveal that Samsung may be doing just that after announcing the release date of the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8. Indeed, the Galaxy Note 7 itself was well received until the overheating problems emerged.
Reports indicate that Samsung is developing a smart speaker that will be powered by Bixby, the South Korean conglomerates' own voice assistant. This would then tessellate neatly with a September release. However, it is worth noting that the name has not yet been confirmed.
