Manchester United reportedly hijack Chelsea's Tiemoue Bakayoko transfer

Clearly, the news didn't go down too well with the Premier League champions, with Antonio Conte reportedly frustrated that the player had chosen to go to United.

He has since deleted the Chelsea training ground snap, and later posted two Tweets Friday night that indicate his Chelsea move is now off, with a return to Monaco in the cards.

The player had been expected to join Chelsea but, with negotiations dragging on, United made a surprise move on Monday.

And on Friday morning, Bakayoko added fuel to the flames by tweeting a good morning message to fans with his location set to Manchester.

The 22-year-old underwent keyhole surgery to clean out one of his knees at the end of the French domestic season and is in rehabilitation.

Matic has been linked with Manchester United and Juventus, with Chelsea apparently closing in on his replacement.

Today, Nemanja Matic is trying to push through a move to Man Utd...

Chelsea however, are open to Matic leaving the country instead of signing to a direct rival, not excluding United.

Bakayoko played a decisive season last term, and his impact helped Monaco win the Ligue 1, as well as reach the Champions League semi-finals.

Chelsea had earlier announced the signing of German youngster Antonio Rudiger from Roma.

The 47-year-old Italian, who along with his coaching staff are yet to sign new contracts offered at the end of last term, is hoping to conclude deals for Juventus' Alex Sandro and Spanish worldwide striker Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid. There were strong indications last week that the Brazilian left-back was contemplating a move to the Bridge but it's now being claimed that "he wants to stay in Italy".
