Daniel Cormier Congratulates Jon Jones on KO Victory

Jon Jones

GETTY Jon Jones will rematch Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 214

The event will be headlined by a light heavyweight title clash between current champion Daniel Cormier and former champion Jon Jones.

Jon Jones reclaimed his light-heavyweight title Saturday night, stopping Daniel Cormier in the third round with a vicious head kick and a finish on the ground at UFC 214. She went out to try and win.

"Be careful what you wish for, young man", Lesnar replied. "It would take six months for Lesnar to even go through USADA to fight", White said. He had first defeated Cormier in convincing fashion in January 2015 by a unanimous decision as he defended his title of heavyweight.

As for a fight winner, betting $100 on Jones would result in a profit of $28.57; a winning $100 bet on Lesnar, meanwhile, would net a profit of $265.

"Don't think you're going to kick me in the head with your left leg", Cormier told Jones during a Q&A prior to UFC 178 in August 2014.

"I've said I don't want to interview KO'ed fighters".

Later, Jones expressed his confidence: "I think Brock has a limited game".

"It feels unbelievable, man. It's unbelievable".

Is WWE indicating that The Beast Incarnate may be UFC bound? In his opinion, Jones' success against Cormier is a clear indicator of what he could do to Lesnar.

Talk of a superfight heated up abruptly this week when Jones and Lesnar traded verbal jabs. Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure, Jon Jones is definitely trying his best to make it happen. As the world marveled at the possibility of such an epic match, WWE.com posted about this dream fight.

His thoughts on a possible Jones vs. Lesnar MMA bout: "It's interesting". Even UFC boss Dana White was upset that McCarthy didn't end the fight sooner. After such a long layoff and the way Cormier was coming after him. "The payday would be tremendous". "Obviously Brock Lesnar has millions of followers outside of MMA, so that's huge for our sport, to kind of steal some of those followers".
