Motorola's latest Mod-ready phone is on sale today. While a few sketchy details of the Moto X4 have surfaced online in the past, Android Authority has now leaked the final design and purported specifications of the X4. The smartphone is expected to be available in two colour variants - black and blue. After was prompted to reboot the device, it booted right into an updated Android with no delay. Are you excited for another addition to Motorola's Moto X range?
Rounding out the Moto X4's spec list is a fast charging 3,000mAh battery and IP68 certified water- and dust-resistance.
At last, the Chinese version is listed by TENAA as using a 2,565 mAh battery, while its North American sibling sports a 2,720 mAh power pack. Sold as accessories, you can buy a variety of mods that attach onto the back of the phone with magnets that enhance the phone's capabilities.
On the back, the Moto X4 has a contoured design on its glass back and based on the renders, it should shimmer rather nicely when held in the light. The native storage space should be further expandable with the use of a microSD card. Android Authority report that there will be four global variants of the phone with "subtle differences". The display does pop out a bit during the experiment, but the phone does not buckle under the pressure. But at least it's supposed to come with either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, or 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage.
The 144.7 mm x 72.3 mm x 9.3 mm phone features a 5-inch 720p screen and weighs 150 g.
The AnTuTu score is a little better than the regular E4's 35,056, but still a ways off from the Moto G5 Plus' 63,190, which starts at $50 more than the E4 Plus.
The upcoming fourth generation Motorola Moto X handset (Moto X4) has leaked thanks to the Brazilian equivalent of the US FCC.
Motorola has acquired a large market share in the smartphone industry and has a couple of models lined up for launch in the near future. Again, don't expect it to have a budget pricing since it is essentially the company's flagship smartphone.
