As far as gaming is concerned, Windows Creators Fall updates the Game Mode, which allows games to use the full processing power of a user's device. Microsoft confirmed the release date at IFA today, and pointed out two of the update's key new features: eye-tracking and Windows Mixed Reality.

Mixed-reality headsets for Windows 10 PCs are on the way from Acer, Asus, Dell Technologies (DVMT), HP Inc. Headsets and motion controllers (starting at $299) from these companies are expected to be release along with the Fall Creators Update on October 17, notes PCMag.

The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is also big on security with the SMBv1 protocol being eliminated from the clean install of OS although the Home and Professional versions get to keep the client software. But with a price tag of $3,000, Windows-based mixed reality was a niche market made up of tech-savvy enterprises, developers and deep-pocketed enthusiasts.

A new device, Fujitsu Lifebook P727, will be available also, but with Windows 10 S installed by default. Among other updates released for the Windows we name a few important ones: November Update, Anniversary Update, and Creators Update.

Improvements are also coming to Windows Defender as it becomes smarter and defends PCs against ransomeware, exploits, and malware better than before.
