The Mi A1 was officially launched in New Delhi on Tuesday where it was priced at 14,999 rupee (US$233), said the Chinese handset manufacturer. Some had wondered if Google's turnkey phone program was dead, but with the Mi A1, Android One is apparently "evolving", with a launch planned in over 40 markets.
To begin with, Google and Xiaomi have come up with a series of smartphones - Mi A1. "Here we will be more flexible, so people who really build the hardware can excel at doing that they do", Gold said at the launch of MiA1, the first in a series of devices on the renewed platform. Google promised that it would provide the Android Oreo update to this smartphone soon by the end of this year 2017. Android One, on the other hand, has never enjoyed mass appeal as the specs on offer were disappointing. This is an old project which Google is looking to infuse new life into with this new partnership with Xiaomi. But this time, we've a Xiaomi device with stock Android.
The Xiaomi phone that has surfaced on TENAA has a model number of MCT3B.
Mi A1 offers the purest Android interface with hardly any customisation.
Xiaomi Mi 5X was a smartphone the company launched in China earlier this year, and that one too sported dual-rear cameras. But more about that later. At this price, the phone will surely repeat the success of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The smartphone arrives in three colors: Black, Gold, and Rose Gold, and can now be purchased from the Xiaomi website.
The device has a dual rare camera setup.
It has 12 mega pixel plus 12 mega pixel cameras which was similar to that used in the iPhone 7.

The dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 on top and is fueled by 3000 mAh battery. On the lower edge are the speakers and the USB Type-C port. Google through the separate statement stated that they are Xiaomi Mi A1 will be present in dozens of countries. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. Moreover, timely patches will ensure the phone's performance doesn't drop down to the brim after a couple of months. While the Mi A1 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, the Redmi Note 4 is available in three versions: 2GB RAM and 32GB memory, 3GB RAM and 32GB memory, and another with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. The battery that's keeping the system running here is a 3080mAh non-removable pack. It is called the Mi A1 and its nothing like any of the four smartphones launched under the Android One program thus far. One of the rear cameras is a wide-angle lens while the other is a telephoto lens. The front camera is a 5-megapixel affair, but was able to capture clear and noise free selfies even in indoor conditions. There's absolutely no bloatware in the device, apart from the Xiaomi's own camera app and Mi Remote and Mi Store application, which are quintessential though.
Budget segment victor in our midst?
What are the phones under Android One?
He added that going ahead, more devices featuring the Android One OS will be launched across the globe.
