Two days after the gruesome murder of a seven-year-old boy at Ryan International School on Friday, the family of the accused bus conductor Ashok Kumar claimed that he is innocent and was pressurized to give wrong statements to the police. He also stated that had the child been taken care of, he might have survived. "We have been investigating their role since early morning", said Sumit Kuhar, DCP Crime, Gurgaon. The recent incident in Gurgaon's Ryan International School is another epitome of the monstrous people walking around in the human form. If someone else is found involved, action will be taken against them. "But it seems the police verification of Ashok was not done", said Dinesh, pointing out a gaping hole in the security arrangements made by the school management. "I don't know how it happened but I'm sure it is a murder".
They also set ablaze a nearby liquor store after it was reported in some sections of the media that the school bus staff used to consume liquor while on duty. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Ashok Kumar was a driver with a private school in Ghamroj, near Gurugram. The doctors told me the killer stabbed him twice. "Police have arrested a poor bus conductor".
Last year, a branch of Ryan International school in Vasant Kunj was accused of criminal negligence after a six-year-old student of class 1 was found dead in a water tank. A knife was also found near his body. His ear had been cut, and two flaps of skin exposed the insides of his throat.
Police sources close to the investigation said on questioning the accused revealed that he attempted sexual assault on the child inside the toilet.
