One of several big games on Saturday night features the Clemson Tigers hosting the Auburn Tigers in college football. They're always on the attack, looking to get offenses on their heels, and looking to surprise.
Bryant did what he needed to: Kelly Bryant was far from spectacular, but he didn't need to be.
The former Prattville High School star didn't touch the football a single time in last year's 19-13 loss to Clemson at Jordan-Hare Stadium despite being on the field as a blocking H-back and eventually leading the Southeastern Conference with 122.4 yards per game in the 2016 season. Dabo said. "Pretty good".
Just as pretty was Bryant's play coming out of the break for a 79-yard TD drive.
Jalen Hurts ran for 154 yards and two touchdowns and passed for a third score in No. 1 Alabama's 41-10 victory over Fresno State on Saturday. While Clemson outgained Auburn in yardage, Auburn continuously had an advantage in time of possession. Despite allowing 284 yards, Auburn kept Clemson scoreless until the very last minute of the first half and notched a few sacks themselves. Stidham brushed it off. That meant the stragglers (like the media) never hit traffic from I-85 to campus.
The Auburn Tigers finished with 117 yards overall and just 13 on the ground. Stidham had a modest debut for Auburn.
Bryant's playmaking ability with his feet opened up the passing game for Clemson, though not a strong one, as Byrant completed 19 of 29 passes for 181 yards. In the receiving end, Will Hastings posted 68 yards and a touchdown in four receptions while Darius Slayton added 43 yards in three receptions.

And how about those Bryants? "It's about us", Steele told reporters.
"Obviously, we wanted to come out here and win this ballgame", Stidham said. Last season, he rushed 209 times for 1,224 yards in just nine games.
Williams is confident the offense can turn it around this season. The Tigers' running game struggled to get going and the team made too many mistakes in keep drives going.
Auburn's defense did more than hold their own, keeping Clemson under 300 total yards themselves. Defensively, it'll be up to the defensive front to take advantage of an Auburn offensive line that had some bad moments against Georgia Southern, and see if Stidham can handle the biggest road environment of his career. Clemson was minus starting safety Van Smith who had a knee sprain. After that, Clemson barely allowed them to move the ball.
For Auburn, this is similar to what happened previous year, losing to Clemson by a close margin. "Not who played well and who didn't", senior linebacker Tre' Williams said.
According to a report by Scott Keepfer for Greenville Online, Clemson's matchup with No. 12 Auburn that is set for 7 p.m. Saturday remains unchanged.
Malzahn and Golson both said they'll be watching tape to figure what and where they need to improve before next week's game against Mercer.
