All importantly you get that immersive and slightly creepy Stranger Things music but transcribed into an 8-bit format for an even more eighties feel.

Two things I can probably guess about you right now - you're interested or at least a little curious about Stranger Things on Netflix, and ditto for video games.

Stranger Things was a surprise hit back in 2016, and the show seems to have started a Stephen King craze that carried over to 2017.

The press release also teases that the game may unlock "secret characters or exclusive, never-before-seen-footage- of-Season-2".

The demand is there, and now Netflix is finally meeting it with an official retro-styled Stranger Things mobile game, titled simply Stranger Things: The Game (via The Verge).

The action-adventure game lets you control several main characters from the show, as they explore the town and outskirts of Hawkins, Indiana.

The game finds you exploring Hawkins and associated locations; The forest, the Lab, and other new places, too. There are seven playable characters in total, each with their own unique abilities that are required for solving certain puzzles.

However, Stranger Things isn't a complete replica of the Zelda series. It's a digitised version of the game's first season in which you get to go Falling Down on the Upside Down. Nancy has a whole set of bats to swing this time.

Season 2 of Netflix's original series Stranger Things will debut on October 27th.
