The Last Jedi lands in theaters December 15.
On Sunday, Disney and Star Wars social media accounts shared the snippets of an upcoming trailer announcing that the whole thing will be out during the Monday Night Football game on ESPN. The film opens in USA theaters on December 15. Installations like the one at London's Star Wars Celebration in 2016 have sometimes showcased a number of never-before-seen costumes and props, but this display primarily focuses on items that eagle-eyed audiences may have already gotten brief glimpses of. The game starts at 8:15 PM ET/5:15 PM PT on ESPN. The booth also revealed that because of their unique capabilities, Snoke's guards can be "fearsomely unpredictable" in their battles. This is certainly in line with a popular Star Wars theory suggesting that Ben Solo will become a Jedi by the time Episode IX premieres.

Many of us thought that we might get a trailer or teaser at the Disney D23 Expo over the summer, so it's been an extra-long wait this time around for the 2nd trailer for The Last Jedi.
The trailer below was released in April. (The Giants beat the Eagles, 27-7.) As you might expect, ratings were highest during the telecast from 9:45 p.m.to 10 p.m. ET, when the Star Wars trailer was being shown.
