Melania Trump slams Ivana for calling herself first lady

The office of First Lady Melania Trump issued an official statement on Monday in response to comments made by Ivana Trump, Donald's first wife, during a previous interview with Good Morning America. (She writes that Ivanka Trump has presidential potential, although she told TIME in an interview she thinks her daughter has "too much on her plate.") She also told TIME before the book's release that Donald Jr. had "zero interest" in Russian Federation.

Melania Trump's spokeswoman assailed Ivana Trump on Monday as a bitter ex after Ivana quipped in a television interview that she was the real first lady since she was the president's first wife.

According to publisher Gallery Books the book is about how, as the custodial parent of their kids - Eric, Ivanka and Donald Jr. They've been photographed together before on more than one occasion, and Melania reportedly attended Ivana's 2008 wedding to Rossano Rubicondi, which was held at Trump's Palm Beach estate Mar-a-Lago.

Ivana, a Czech-American businesswoman and former model, was married to the president from 1977 until the early 1990s, when the two split after the real-estate mogul's affair with Marla Maples became public.
