Unlike China, we don't have many models, and the one model available in India offers 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128 GB onboard flash storage in Black colour. Highlighting it is the fact that despite a bigger display than the iPhone 8 Plus, the Mi Mix 2 is 7 per cent smaller in size, and as the company claims is only as big as a typical 5.5-inch display smartphones in the market. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will come out as the successor of the Mi Mix which was launched in 2016.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 sports a 5.99 inch bezel-less, edge to edge LCD screen with full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, in an 18:9 aspect ratio display. There's the Adreno 540 GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks.
Moreover, it constitutes of 128GB of inbuilt storage and isn't expandable via microSD card. The phone will be available as a preview sale on Flipkart on October 17. With no "upper lip" above the display, the front camera has been positioned at the "bottom lip", a design decision previously used in the last Mi MIX as well.
The phone has 12 megapixels Sony IMX386 sensor with 1.25μm large pixels, 4-axis OIS and dual color LED flash. The front camera is capable of recording 1080p videos. Broader availability will start from first week of November. Other connectivity features include dual-band gigabit Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. To back all of this, there is a li-ion battery with a capacity of 3400mAh battery. The company has made a decision to not launch the Mi 6 in India this year going by the low sales of the Mi 5 in comparison to the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. The Mi Mix 2 comes in three different variants based on their RAM and internal storage capacity - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 6GB RAM & 64GB internal storage, Mi Mix 2 with 6GB RAM & 128GB internal storage, and Mi Mix 2 with 6GB RAM & 256GB internal storage. The Mi Mix 2 also supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 and ships with a certified fast charger in the box.
