Vikings capitalise on late Trubisky interception to knock off Bears

NFL players should try serving

Preview: Vikings at Bears

The numbers weren't good - 12-for-25 for just 128 yards with his first National Football League touchdown and inaugural interception, as well as a strip-sack fumble.

The Bears turned to Trubisky, the No. 2 overall pick out of North Carolina, after former starter Mike Glennon lead Chicago to a 1-and-3 turnover filled start. There is reason for caution coming off a three-game absence, but Bradford is worth a look in primetime DFS slates. He finished the first quarter 1-of-5 passing for minus 5 yards and the safety.

When the Vikings replaced Bradford with Keenum just before halftime, their offense seemed to find some life. O'Donnell found a wide-open Benny Cunningham, who took the fake punt for a 38-yard catch, run and touchdown.

The result was familiar - the Bears lost to the Vikings, 20-17, at Solider Field - but at least the path there was interesting. McKinnon may not start next week at home against Green Bay, but he should get the bulk of the touches moving forward. But he still showed the mobility and arm strength that convinced general manager Ryan Pace to trade up a spot with San Francisco to grab him on draft night.

GORE GAINING GROUND: Indianapolis running back FRANK GORE has rushed for 13,256 yards and 76 touchdowns in 13 career seasons. Floyd had two sacks. He was 0-of-2 on passes thrown 15 or more yards, according to ESPN Stats & Information. "Then when you get into the end zone and guys start celebrating, that gets the juices flowing". Pushed back five yards, the Bears punted. But O'Donnell passed to a wide-open Cunningham, who spun around Marcus Sherels on the way to the end zone, cutting it to 17-9. Pat Shurmur took advantage of an aggressive Bears defense with several well conceived screen passes, and those kinds of plays that allow McKinnon to get out in space and use his quickness should be incorporated more often. Before he reached the line of scrimmage he handed it off to tight end Zach Miller going the opposite way. If Chicago scored, they were going to have to add a two-point conversion as well.

Who: Minnesota Vikings vs. It's just too much and with the Packers coming up, you want to hope that Bradford can play but it doesn't look like he's going to be back and that's just not enough to beat the Packers, especially considering that they're tied to the Bears in the 4th quarter after a ton of freak plays and penalties (and more awful play by Trae Waynes). Wearing a brace on his left knee underneath his uniform, Bradford was hesitant while running and on his throws.

The Latavius Murray experiment continues to be an abject failure.
