There is evil in the world. None of them appeared to have an conscience about using the blood of innocents to score points in the political arena.

The dead were still being identified when liberal politicians, celebrities, pundits and activists began blaming the carnage on anyone who did not endorse the standard left-wing agenda.

Other restrictions apply to people who have been issued restraining orders by courts to prevent harassment, stalking or threatening; people who have renounced their citizenship; dishonorably discharged military personnel; unauthorized migrants; and people temporarily visiting the U.S. on nonimmigrant visas, for example as tourists.

Television host Jimmy Kimmel said GOP leaders should pray for forgiveness for "letting the gun lobby run this country".

These corporations contribute greatly to national defense. Could the $52 Million the NRA threw at the 2016 elections have had anything to do with it?

This of course sparks discourse on social media about gun issues and political parties (anyone who has seen these types of conversations take place on Twitter or Facebook will know I'm using the term "discourse" very loosely).

Their objective is not just to win votes for Democrats.

Will anything change after Las Vegas? Let's unite and stand in solidarity against the massive gun violence in America.

We need stricter laws to monitor who would have access to the guns. The data clearly shows that these weapons are bought illegally, and any criminal can get their hands on an assault weapon.

But neither side of that argument addresses the fundamental issue of why so many similar atrocities continue to happen in the U.S. time after time, mostly for no apparent logical reason or justification. Could we prohibit the sale of assault weapons? Most guns are "semi-automatics".

Purchase limits won't stop a criminal from planning ahead.

During the first eight months after the long gun reporting requirement went into effect for four states bordering Mexico, ATF used those reports to initiate 120 investigations and recommended prosecution of more than 100 defendants in 25 separate cases.

"I think if you look to Chicago, where you had over 4,000 victims of gun-related crimes past year, they have the strictest gun laws in the country", said White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

Condemning all gun owners is not the way to respond to a mass shooting. However, American white men have committed a vast majority of the terrorist attacks in this country over the past 20 or so years.

We need a more comprehensive analysis of what triggers people to commit this kind of violence and how it can be detected. Unfortunately, all too often the left views killers as victims.
