The company promises a battery life of two days with a 4100 mAh battery. While I am yet to test the rear camera fully, suffice to say it will not blow you away. We see phenomenal opportunity in India we place tremendous importance on this market. It gained huge popularity with its Nokia 3310 handset when it launched it in September, 2000. But from what we are guessing its price to be, Nokia will face stiff competition from the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo, Moto and others. But this phone could do much to keep the Nokia brand alive in emerging markets, especially, and it looks like a winning combination of value and functionality.

According to HMD Global, the Nokia 2 will go on sale in two weeks or so. The Finnish-based company, however, did not reveal the smartphone's India pricing.

But the company knows that tapping into its core audience is also an opportunity. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a Mediatek MTK6737 processor along with 2GB of RAM.

On the other hand, the cheaper Redmi 4A beats Nokia 2 hands down in a specifications fight.

Nokia really made a comeback this year. The phone has a plastic front, aluminum frame and polycarbonate back.

India, which is already among the top three markets for HMD Global, the makers of Nokia phones, has the potential to be its biggest market, said HMD Global CEO, Florian Seiche, on Tuesday.

We recently saw some torture tests of the new Nokia 8 smartphone and now we have another video of the handset being taken apart. HMD Global today held a global launch event in Gurgaon, India. To launch a smartphone in 2017 with such limited internal storage is a sin. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset is the company's cheapest smartphone till date. "The products have to be great, the marketing has to be right and customer service has to be superior".

Finally, the phone comes with 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, IP52 dust and drip protection, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a hybrid dual SIM slot. As mentioned above, HMD Global is very proud of the LTPS technology used in the display which they claim results in 15% lower power consumption and as a result better battery life.
