OnePlus 5T launched in India

How the OnePlus 5T stacks up against Apple's iPhone X

OnePlus 5T vs. Samsung Galaxy Note8 – The flagship killer strikes again

Looking at the OnePlus 5T, we can immediately notice the lack of the physical home button on the front. Extending the screen ratio of OnePlus 5's 16:9 to 18:9 in OnePlus 5T makes it an elegantly elongated handset.

The OnePlus 5T was launched during a special event in NY which was live-streamed across the globe and through PVR theaters in India.

Yes, the OnePlus 5 was released in June this year, but when compared to the trend in 2017, the phone looked so 2016.

But it's all change when you turn your attention to the camera.

The OnePlus 5T will be available from November 21 in India on Amazon India and OnePlus Store.

Update: Our hands on: OnePlus 5T review is now live!

In the United States, the OnePlus 5T has been launched with price tags of $449 and $559, respectively for the two storage models.

The pricing came as a pleasant surprise.

One of the major highlights of the smartphone is its display that features a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED size with an aspect ratio of 18:9. With this, the company also joins the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG G6 and some other smartphones. At one point Brian Yoon, Head of user experience design for OnePlus directly addressed the iPhone users attending the launch while talking about soon to launch app called OnePlus Switch which will enable easy transfer of data from oldphone to the OnePlus 5T and most importantly how it's also compatible with iPhone. We say so as Amazon claims that the OnePlus 5T has received as many as 1.1 million consumer interest impressions on its website. For obvious reasons, it is being pitted against its own younger sibling, the OnePlus 5 to see if the new one is any better. And as you might have guessed, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back because the bezel-less display left no space on the front of the phone.

OnePlus is now onto its sixth flagship phone with the newly launched OnePlus 5T.

The OnePlus 5T packs in an improved rear camera than the previous one. The secondary camera is exactly the same with a 16 MP, f/2.0 lens and comes with Electronic Image Stabilization.

Yes, those are the exact prices that the OnePlus 5 variants were available for.

Battery: The smartphone is backed by a non-removable 3300mAh battery which supports Dash Charge. It will be the last update the smartphones receive, the company had confirmed previously. On top, there's a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5, reports GizmoChina. Powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the smartphone like the OnePlus 5, comes in two variants based on 6GB RAM+ 64GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage capacities. The Adreno 540 GPU boosts graphical performance, so users can play demanding games smoother than ever before. OnePlus 5T boasts a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor along with f/1.7 aperture.

OnePlus 5T comes with dual camera setup. As noted earlier, you don't get wireless charging, but Dash Charge is just as good - or perhaps even better. Like Apple's system, face unlocking on the OnePlus 5T can be used to unlock the phone and it works in 0.4 seconds according to OnePlus, so it's slower than the 0.2 seconds the fingerprint reader takes.
