The team also got a touchdown from Jamison Crowder, who was the game's leading receiver with 141 yards. People who know, know BDO. They also punted on nine of their first 11 possessions, while their other two possessions were a field goal and a one-play kneel down to end the first half.

Watching the most injury-plagued teams square off in the finale of Thursday's Thanksgiving tripleheader was painful. Perine gained 56 yards after first contact in the game, most of which came in the second half when the Redskins pulled away. Still, given the injuries Washington has on its offensive line, wide receiver and at running back, it's impressive the Redskins are 5-6 and still on the fringe of the NFC wild-card race.

The next killer play came with Jason Pierre-Paul sacking Cousins on a third-and-3 play in a 10-10 game that would gave the Redskins a free first down and kept the drive alive.

Including their Thanksgiving contest in Dallas last season, the Redskins played on Thanksgiving Day in consecutive years for the first time since 1973-74.

For the fifth time this season, the Giants failed to score 20 points.

The Redskins improved to 4-5 against NFC opponents this season and secured their first victory against NFC East competition in 2017.

In the aftermath of an ugly, mistake-prone affair with the reeling Giants (2-9) - a prime time matchup that featured quarterback Kirk Cousins getting sacked six times and throwing a pick-six interception - there was nothing but optimism among Washington players.

Washington doesn't play a team with a winning record the rest of the season. Kirk Cousins has to play better on offense, and the play calling has to account for the Giants' strong front four, as well as their weak linebacking core. Without him against the Chiefs and Redskins, the Giants' offense has produced a paltry 15 points combined the past two weeks.

The Giants have been fortunate that the Browns have been as dreadful as they have this season.

The Giants and Washington are playing the Thanksgiving Day finale.

The touchdown pass from Cousins to Doctson put Washington back on top for good.

Jamison Crowder had a big day for Washington, including a 15-yard touchdown catch.

.

That one play involved more yardage than Eli Manning and the Giants (2-9) generated in the entire second half.

Both offensive lines have been particular areas of concern, and Thursday was no different. One possession ended with an interception by Manning, four ended with punts, and another dissolved when they turned the ball over on downs. The offense was stagnant through the first two quarters. Either everybody is tired from the (hopefully) good food that has been consumed and has dozed off or has left at this point.

"We play a good Dallas team that we've had trouble with the last three meetings".

Giants: LB Deontae Skinner (hamstring), LB Curtis Grant (right leg), CB Donte Deayon (forearm and jaw). Samaje Perine added 100 yards on the ground for Washington, with 97 yards coming in the second half.
