During the 2016 Christmas holidays, The Salvation Army assisted 3,976 people, gave 13,182 gifts and 1,088 Christmas food boxes to families in need.
The Holy Donut in Portland noted on its Facebook page that it asked the Salvation Army to provide kids' ages and sizes. "Red Kettle donations stay in the communities where they were donated". We have 16 days to show the needy in Tyler they have not been forgotten this Christmas season.

The work of preparing to deliver toys ramps up next week when toy packing takes place December 11-14, from 6-8 p.m.at a new location at 463 St. Clair St.in the former Fabricland building.
