Samsung likely to launch its foldable smartphone in December 2018: Report

Foldable smartphone display

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) is a Direct Xiaomi Redmi 5A Competitor with Snapdragon 425 SoC and 4G VoLTE Support

This is different to what Samsung normally does, the company previously launched their flagships at their own event later than MWC. For graphics, it comes with Mali GPU. It defies the ordinary and challenges the status quo. So whatever phone Samsung decides to create for dual screen, be it Samsung S10 or Note 10, there is time for it to hatch.

The camera department of the Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) is pretty impressive.

The report also brings some insights on the design language of the smartphone, according to which the Samsung foldable phone will fold inwards and you will be able to open it much like a book. It will come in two variants 3 GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and another with 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. It flaunts a 5-inch S-AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.

Galaxy's A8+'s 16MP+8MP F1.9 dual-front camera setup allows consumers to take portrait shots. This phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat and supports 4G LTE. Luckily, the phone has a 2,600 mAh battery, which Samsung says will give users 60 hours of audio playback.

That's a hefty leap upwards from the £689 price tag of last year's Galaxy S8. Previously provided data coincide with the official, and the smartphone will go on sale this quarter, but under different names, depending on the specific market.

The foldable display should be developed by March, with mass production set to start in September.

Samsung has retained the headphone jack though, and it sits alongside a USB-C port on the base of the handset. Also, it offers a screen-to-body ratio of close to 75 per cent. The company's mobile chief confirmed the rumors claiming that the Galaxy S9 will make its debut at the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry next month.

- The rear camera is further assisted with video digital image stabilisation (VDis) technology, and includes a hyper lapse feature for enhanced time-lapse videos.
