Trump Says He Would Beat Oprah In The US Presidency Run

"I don't think at this point she's actually considering it".

"I like Oprah. I don't think she's going to run".

Winfrey is favored over President Donald Trump, 48 percent to 38 percent, in a Rasmussen Reports poll released Wednesday. "If she runs, she's our nominee".

Even the president has demonstrated his admiration for Winfrey.

His only concern, he told her, was whether she could handle success because he had watched people in the television business "push their success up their nose".

When the allegations of Weinstein's history of sexual abuse and harassment came to light in late 2017, Winfrey posted on her Facebook, saying, "I've been processing the accounts of Harvey Weinstein's ugly behavior and haven't been able to find the words to articulate the magnitude of the situation".

Oprah Winfrey poses with the Cecil B. DeMille Award during the 75th Golden Globe Awards on 7 January, 2018, in Beverly Hills, California. Winfrey, a long-time Democrat, delivered a rousing speech on Sunday, in which she raised gender inequalities and sexual harassment in the Hollywood industry. She took us down memory lane when she started her speech by telling us about the time she was watching the 36th Academy Awards with her mother, when Sidney Poitier - a black man, was awarded the best actor award in 1964.

Asked if his endorsement was serious, Spielberg said it was and that he'd "like the next president to be a president of the people".

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders was also drawn into the speculation on Tuesday about a potential Winfrey candidacy.

"We welcome the challenger, whether it be Oprah Winfrey or anybody else", Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley told reporters aboard Air Force One.

KING: "It's not a change from her, Jeff. I don't", King said, adding that she was up late last night discussing the possibility with her close friend.

"She is crackerjack on the money on women's issues and I call her the ambassador of empathy", he added. "She had Donald Trump - this is before politics - her last week and she had Donald Trump and my family, it was very nice", the President said. "When you have been part of the problem for decades but they suddenly all think you are the solution", the meme read, layered on top of photos of Oprah posing with flaming pile of dung Harvey Weinstein.

"And he said, "Absolutely, she would". "He would never do that", King said. So she knew that she wanted to say something significant. After four years of Trump, they say, the United States public may want to elect a leader with legislative experience. For those reasons, she thanked Winfrey and duly congratulated her for receiving the Golden Globes Lifetime Achievement Award.

And a snapshot of her chances look good at the moment.

So I think for Americans who are looking for that, she would be an excellent representative of it and for Americans who are looking for something different, she isn't all that different.
