Nintendo France: EA to 'double down' on Switch this year

Dubbed "Final Remix", the description reads, "The highly stylized and critically acclaimed Nintendo DS game, The World Ends with You, is coming to Nintendo Switch with HD graphics, Joy-Con support, and a new epilogue!" The announcements ranged from larger to smaller, and not a second of the shorter than normal run time was wasted.

Rainway is an upcoming app that can provide a service that will allow gamers to stream games on-the-fly from their PC to their Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and of course smartphones and tablets.

SNK Heroines is scheduled for a Summer 2018 release on Switch and PS4. Here is the list of games releasing.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be released for Switch on May 4. Nintendo will continue with Wave 2 of DLC for Pokkén Tournament DX, which will include Blastoise as a traditional fighter, and Mew and Celebi as support Pokémon. This may be due, in no small part, to the arrival of the Xbox One X.

Later in the year we'll also see some big movie tie-ins with theme park management simulator Jurassic World Evolution (what could possibly go wrong?) and a new Spider-Man game from Insomniac, exclusive to PS4.

A handful of new games were also announced, including indie games Fe and Celeste as well as a new Mario tennis game.

Nintendo surprised everyone with the Direct Mini January 2018 presentation, and as the name suggests, it's a pretty short show - just shy of 15 minutes.

In an interview with French tech magazine Les Numériques, France's Nintendo Managing Director Philippe Lavoué said that we should expect further titles from EA during the lifespan of the Nintendo Switch.

The Super Mario Odyssey will get a new competitive game mode.

Wii U's Zelda-themed battle game is headed to Switch complete with all of the characters, maps, missions, and DLC from both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

The game was set up to have quests to be completed and riddles to be solved, but there are monsters called "noise" and other adversaries in the game world, as well. Most likely, 999-star power players will hide it in hard-to-reach areas. The wording was a bit ambiguous, and they wanted to know: Did Xbox sell better than usual, or did it sell better than the competition? At first, it would have been easy to attribute this to the low expectations set by the Wii U. It really looked like Nintendo might be losing whatever edge it had.

It was leaked in the hours and days before the Direct, but the original Dark Souls is coming to the Switch indeed.

After a month of rumors (and few trolling tweets), Nintendo uploaded a surprise 15-minute Nintendo Direct morning.
