West Ham Fans Deserved That - Andy Carroll Hails Win Over West Brom

West Ham United have confirmed that they are investigating an incident at London Stadium in which a home supporter allegedly made a comment about the death of an opposing player's baby.

The decision by West Ham to fire Slaven Bilic and hire David Moyes was both praised and criticized by pundits.

"It didn't look likely for long periods", added Moyes.

Ben Foster had made two fine saves to deny Manuel Lanzini in the first half but could do nothing about the equaliser as Carroll rose above two defenders in trademark fashion to plant a powerful header into the bottom-right corner.

"We've left it in the hands of West Ham who I know very well and hopefully they'll deal with the situation".

In Tuesday's game, the Senegalese midfielder failed to provide the adequate protection for the West Ham defence and was caught out in position leading to West Brom's goal. I've been wanting to get there and start.

Veteran James Collins took Reid's place for Bournemouth, but the roles were reversed for WBA after the Hammers shipped another three goals on the south coast.

Video footage has emerged which shows the West Brom midfielder involved in a confrontation as he was being substituted in the 64th minute. "It's very hard to criticise my team". But we're under pressure to get a win and I can understand why he's put it in the box. When I have been I have probably been making an impact but it's not really what I want to do, I don't want to be an impact player coming off the bench. Keeping him fit for the rest of the season could also be key to West Ham's survival chances, although his injury record would suggest that that may be easier said than done. Still, it is a contented manager who, as the second half of the season gets under way, can talk about choices, and reach for a functional Plan B. Then they go up the other end and score. In fact it was the first time we've won there when the opposition has scored! And that is what happened, I lost myself. They offered their backing to the player.

West Ham: Adrian 7, Zabaleta 7, Reid 5, Ogbonna 7, Cresswell 6 (Rice 76, 7), Masuaku 5 (Hernandez 73, 5), Obiang 5 (Noble 46, 7), Kouyate 5, Lanzini 7, Arnautovic 8, Carroll 8*.
