A goal down and Harry Kane injured, Tottenham's campaign for a third consecutive Premier League top-four finish looked to be taking a serious hit.

It was a much needed win for Spurs following their disappointing elimination in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League to Juventus last Wednesday.

The French striker carried the ball for almost half the length of the pitch before squaring to Stanislas, who lifted it over Hugo Lloris but struck the crossbar. Stanislas took a touch and rifled across Hugo Lloris into the bottom corner.

In the 84th minute, Callum Wilson had the ball at the back of the net only for the goal to be ruled out for a foul on Davinson Sanchez.

Spurs were a goal down at that point and it could have been worse.

With England manager Gareth Southgate set to name his squad for the forthcoming global friendlies against Holland and Italy before Spurs face an important FA Cup quarter-final at Swansea next weekend, Kane could be a major absentee for club and country.

His clipped cross to the back post was met by the South Korean, who shinned a volley into the ground and over Begovic.

Tottenham supporters were unimpressed with Rose, who went off with what appeared an injury after 80 minutes and was replaced by Eric Dier. Deli Alli had cancelled out that goal and Serge Aurier put the cap on Tottenham's fourth successive league win. "But now if you are positive then you start the recovery from the injury now". We keep going game-by-game. "We played great football and fully deserved the victory".

"Of course, I'm a little bit concerned about the Harry Kane injury".

After Kane was forced off in the 34th minute by a collision with Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, it wasn't obvious who could turn the game around for Spurs.

Here's hoping Kane's injury is nothing too serious. Always the decision is between him and the doctor. Any prolonged absence will be a huge test of Spurs' ability to cope without their talisman and top scorer.

He has already turned into an important part of the first team at Hamburger, making seven starts and 8 appearances off the bench, picking up two goals this season. This result left Tottenham five points ahead of their rivals.

Sixth-placed Arsenal were also comfortable 3-0 winners over Watford at the Emirates Stadium to snap a run of three straight Premier League defeats. Maybe we'll have a better idea on if they'll make it the day before the game.
