Let's break down each match and find out.
With it being known that Shinsuke Nakamura would challenge for the WWE Champiosnhip at WrestleMania, the biggest question was who he would be facing. It was a side of Cena we've never seen before-his telling 'Taker to "get over your own ego" drew gasps from the crowd. Shinsuke picked up the win with a Kinshasha after a strong closing sequence. Can Styles overcome the odds and topple five of SmackDown's top superstars, in a match which includes "The Doctor of Thuganomics" John Cena? But it really feels like this triple threat match between Mahal, Orton and Roode is really going to happen. This is going to be an incredible match and I can't wait to see it! It would have been nice to have a bit more build to it, but we're getting the match everyone wanted, so it's really hard to complain.
Jinder Mahal came out to attack both men after the bell in a signal of what may be next on the agenda for the title at WrestleMania.
This match had no real reason to exist and frankly, it lived up to that.
A reminder: Carmella is still the Money in the Bank holder.
The Usos have been riding high ever since finishing off their last rivalry with the New Day, although they've noticed that the Bludgeon Brothers keep stalking them in the shadows. His defeat means that his path to Wrestlemania becomes more obscure. Riott, while talented, is brand new on main roster. This will boast ticket sales, and will bring interest in this match. They were the best thing about the tag division at that point.
This was the only match on the card where I had to go back and check on who I predicted to win.
It is very possible that the next fight to be scheduled for Asuka will be that of Her and Charlotte in WrestleMania.
Ruby Riott showed she can hang with the best, but in the end, Charlotte Flair was just too good.
Styles defended his WWE title in the main event, and defeated Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, John Cena and Dolph Ziggler in a six-man match. Cena then tried to hit an AA on Styles but the champion reversed it and hit Cena with a Style Clash before Zayn saved the pin in the last second. From then on in, the match was a high octane spot fest that delivered on its big match billing. Later in the match, Styles finds the ideal opportunity to hit the Phenomenal Forearm to retain his title and securing his spot at WrestleMania. This bout will surely live up to its expectations and turn out to be a real classic. It's a mixed bag with lots of potentially that generally falls flat.
