'No Personality, No Class, Scared' -- Jose Mourinho blasts Man United

A miserable week was completed with another limp display in the 2-0 win over Brighton in the FA Cup quarter-final, with Mourinho fuming about his team's showing on Saturday.

Luke Shaw is capable of becoming "the best in the world", says Paul Scholes, but that development is likely to happen at a club like Tottenham rather than Manchester United.

A full 90 minutes against Burnley followed, but Shaw's withdrawal through injury before a trip to Swansea City drew more ire.

It is no secret that Mourinho wants Tottenham left-back Danny Rose as a replacement for Shaw.

"I was not happy with his performance", he said.

"You are at Manchester United".

Players' concerns are believed to be shared by some staff at United, who feel the manager has overstepped the mark and that his treatment of Shaw is now at risk of appearing "vindictive". The article says that on the arrival side Mourinho is looking for "at least four players aged between 25 and 28 to improve his options". Now, as his Manchester United side limp to this season's finish line with the FA Cup their own only trophy hope, he's being reminded of that week-in, week-out.

And, despite getting back into the team for spells, has largely been on the sidelines under Mourinho.

The England global hasn't taken the public criticism very well and is now wanting to leave Manchester United for a club where he is respected and trusted by the manager.

"There is just a really odd relationship going on there and I don't understand what he's doing, because he's just destroying the player at the moment".

"But, while there are players that this sort of approach can work with, I just don't think Shaw is one of them".

Personally, I have no idea who Chris Smalling has dirt on behind the scenes at Old Trafford, but he must surely have some sway over the decision-makers to still be getting a regular game after two years of constant errors.

Rather than give him the confidence he so clearly needs, Mourinho has openly criticised the 22-year-old's bravery, desire and class, and looks set to allow the left-back to leave this summer.

"We played the next day and Ferguson always comes to see us when we play at Old Trafford".

While the club continue to be linked with nearly every high profile name in Europe, it's unclear just yet as to who Mourinho is really after.
