"We might have lost some games and had some tough stretches but that doesn't define everybody here as an individual player".

Leading the Warriors now is fellow superstar Kevin Durant.

Durant and business partner Rich Kleiman will go over the scenarios in great detail at the conclusion of the Warriors' postseason run.

But, that month doesn't matter anymore.

In a 113-92 win over San Antonio, the Warriors' starting five was plus-12 in about 14 minutes on the court.

Miami will hope Joel Embiid misses the entire series but, even if he does return, slowing the game down might be the only way to get by Philly because with Embiid and Ben Simmons, the Sixers are coming out on top in any high-scoring affair.

Let's break down the matchups and find out.

If the Warriors stay engaged and defending at this level, the math is going to end this series quickly for the Spurs.

San Antonio ranked fourth in the National Basketball Association in defensive efficiency during the regular season behind only the 76ers, Celtics and Jazz.

Cook's strength is his shot.

By the end of the first quarter, the Warriors had jumped out to an 11-point lead behind a terrific all-around effort from McGee. Cook has the shooting advantage in this matchup. Cook is only 6-2. Warrens led 20-16, 40-31 and 56-53 after the first three quarters before scrambling a win against the struggling Sonics side who are clearly missing the big man Akeem Marsh now overseas on a professional stint. Center Ricardo Toussaint had ten points in the game and so too did point guard Tramane Shaw who continues to struggle somewhat this season. Cook is not so quick. The San Antonio Spurs are allowing 45.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 30 rebounds per game.

The Warriors go up 1-0 over the Spurs in the first round with this rather convincing win. Leonard's backup averages 9.7 points and makes 33 percent of his 3s. But he doesn't have a lot of shooting around him to space the floor, so he might hit a cutter on the pass, but the Spurs come away with two. No wonder Charles Barkley became so enamored with the National Hockey League version of the postseason - that's a sport that actually doles out some real drama once the regular season is over.

The Spurs have a very deep roster with a good mix of young talented players and vetran players headed by one of the best coaches of all time.

Around him, the unlikely trio of Pau Gasol, Rudy Gay and Kyle Anderson also thrive in the mid-range and in. He will give Durant open shots.

When the Spurs did attempt to challenge Durant, he put on his playmaker hat, dishing out seven assists.
