Google Android P Beta launched; you can download it now

Android Auto, the in-car option for using smartphone apps on your dashboard, began supporting wireless connectivity last month, allowing owners of any Google Pixel or Nexus device to connect their smartphones to their vehicle without a cable. You can select any individual app and get a detailed summary of how you've been interacting with it on a daily basis. Android P has a feature Slices where the user can get the deeper look into his favorite apps. At least, to begin with.

Google aims to make navigation and multitasking on the phone more approachable.

Google Lens, the company's visual search tool, was announced a year ago at I/O for Google's Pixel devices and later rolled out for iOS and other Android devices, awkwardly through the photos app. One of the new buttons will act as a Home Button, while the other one as a Back button. It uses your past action and behaviour data to make it easier for you to repeat those actions later.

When you turn on the Do Not Disturb mode when your phone is already running Android P, all notifications will be blocked.

It's worth noting, Google may change this method in between now and when the software is officially available, this is beta after all. YouTube will let you know your total watch time on both mobile and desktop. Now the Google Play Store here only has Android Auto apps, and not the full Google Play Store. App screens now sit side by side, and swiping down or up on one will close it. But, if you have a slightly older model phone, don't count on it.

App Actions is an AI powered predictive feature that predicts what you are about to do only our phone. It will now give you a quick overview of your day along with suggestions that will be based on the time, day and your interactions with Google Assistant. Another great ability is when you are scanning a menu, just pointing to a dish name will show you information about that particular food item. Anyone who downloads Android P should be aware it could be a bumpy ride. This then fills up the screen with the app drawer, with your popular apps sitting in a custom row right near the top.

If not, you're just going to have to see what's brand new in this piece.
