Apple is also planning an update to ARKit, its platform for developers to build augmented-reality experiences on iPhones and iPads, which it announced a year ago. In Safari, enhanced Intelligent Tracking Prevention helps block social media "Like" or "Share" buttons and comment widgets from tracking users without permission.

Search will also add a "For You" upgrade, which shows photos from a user's important moments.

This is the event where Apple previews the next major updates to its iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and Watch software at WWDC. You get a weekly activity summary with a graph that shows how much time you're spending on your phone.

The unthinkable has happened: iOS now finally supports grouped notifications! There are already plenty of iOS apps that do that, but Apple added tons of other useful functionality such as the ability to automatically identify and measure objects, and the ability to view objects at actual size in AR.

Apple is also expected to push its message of data privacy at WWDC.

FaceTime has also been integrated into Messages, so a group message can be turned into a group FaceTime call. Users will also be able to search by business or place names, or even events such as a concert.
