NEW iPhone SE2, Apple Watch, iOS 12 and more MacBook updates coming TODAY from WWDC 2018? | Daily Star

So what else is new in iOS 12 apart from the focus on performance?

The peek at the new software will come Monday at a gathering in San Jose, California, for thousands of app developers and other computer programmers looking to create their own features for making iPhones, iPads, Macs and other Apple products more useful.

The software update won't be available to the public right away, but is expected to be released later this year.

The new muscle, introduced by Craig Federighi, Apple's vice president of software engineering at WWDC 2018 this morning, is powered by bolstered on-device machine learning that recognizes your photographic subjects. Here's how you can download iOS 12 Beta without Developer Account with Apple on your iPhone, iPad, iPod.

Voice memos is coming on iPad, too. From iPhone 5s, introduced in 2013, to the most advanced iPhone ever, iPhone X, iOS 12 brings performance improvements to more devices than any previous version.

iOS 12 also focuses on augmented reality.

Using the new Siri Shortcuts app, iPhone owners can build customized actions for Siri to perform upon hearing a given command. In times of high load, these CPU tweaks should mean that apps last twice as fast.

We're expecting major news involving macOS 10.14, iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12.

Apple is also planning an update to ARKit, its platform for developers to build augmented-reality experiences on iPhones and iPads, which it announced a year ago. In Safari, enhanced Intelligent Tracking Prevention helps block social media "Like" or "Share" buttons and comment widgets from tracking users without permission.

Search will also add a "For You" upgrade, which shows photos from a user's important moments.

This is the event where Apple previews the next major updates to its iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and Watch software at WWDC. You get a weekly activity summary with a graph that shows how much time you're spending on your phone.

The unthinkable has happened: iOS now finally supports grouped notifications! There are already plenty of iOS apps that do that, but Apple added tons of other useful functionality such as the ability to automatically identify and measure objects, and the ability to view objects at actual size in AR.

Apple is also expected to push its message of data privacy at WWDC.

FaceTime has also been integrated into Messages, so a group message can be turned into a group FaceTime call. Users will also be able to search by business or place names, or even events such as a concert.
